Playing at The Cannery.

On Sunday (3/14) I had a gig in San Francisco at the Cannery www.thecannery.com with guitarist Rick Vandivier www.rickvandivier.com .

Tomorrow, St. Patrick’s Day(3/17), and Friday, 3/19, I’ll be performing there again with another great guitarist, Jeff Massanari. www.jeffmassanari.com.

Jeff and I will be in the courtyard on Wednesday from 12:00 to 3:15 pm and on Friday
from 3:30 to 7 pm.

As it turns out Rick and I had a pretty exciting time of it on Sunday, here’s how it went down.
 

Street musicians very loud
Trying to attract a crowd

Rick and I tried to compete
Louder, louder 'twas quite a feat!

Back and forth through out the day
The battle of the bands did play

We finished second I’m afraid
Our sound system did not obey

Still, we finished quite satisfied
And none the worse for wear - with pride

We had some fun we did admit

Even though we had to compete a bit!

Well.. that all said this is a very cool place to come and hear some wonderful musicians free of charge. There’s music practically 7 days a week from 12:00 to 7 pm. It all takes place outdoors in the Cannery Plaza. There are outdoor restaurants you can watch from, or you can sit on the benches and hang out. There's a great ice cream shop there too! Anyway, it’s a new place for me to play and I'm looking forward to it!
